Should I buy now or wait until things settle? Well that depends your current
situation. Are you living rent free somewhere or are you paying someone else's mortgage? What was that I said? Yes if you are paying rent you are paying someone else's mortgage. Someone else is getting all the tax benefits of owning real estate and you are footing the bill. How long do you intend to keep that up?
If your credit is in half way decent shape, you can pull together a down payment, and you have a desire to keep more of your hard earned money buying a home now is the way to go. There is some great inventory out there and the interest rates are still very low. We can't know how long this will last so what are you waiting for?

Paddy,
Very good point! Someone is paying the mortgage...and there are great tax benefits of owning a home....and certainly over time the increase of one's own equity!!!!
Thanks Lori There are so many benefits. There are so many people who are waiting afraid of the future and they are wasting an awesome opportunity and throwing money away on rent
This is a great post. I am going to reblog it. Hopefully you'll get some people off the fence.
Thanks Stacey. I hope it does.
Paddy, I agree it's a great post. Haven't stopped in for awhile and I see you have a great new haircut - Love it!
Great point and so true. Right now prices and mortgage rates are so low, if you have the down payment your monthly payment might be less than the rent payment.
