What Will The Weather Be? Another Useful Side Benefit Of Reading AR Blogs

Will it be a washout weekend?

I have anxiously read the reports of my fellow East Coast Active Rain Friends some of whom have talked of two days of rain from the remains of some hurricane that decided to weave it's way into our lives.  I have also kept an eye on the weather forecasts of several weather outlets (you see every expert has a slightly different take on this).  I am more concerned than usual with the possibility of a major rain situation because we will be reenacting this weekend.  That means camping in canvas tents without sewn in floors.  It means trying to keep a fire going all weekend for morning coffee, boiling water to clean muskets, cooking meals, and staying warm and enjoying company at night.  It is not so fun in the rain!

Well the forecasters are predicting some showers but not a complete rainy weekend and Sunday is supposed to be nice.  I hope that someone is not paying them off to promote tourism or something.  This is a matter of comfort people.  Please be right and make those showers brief if they have to come at all. Thanks for all the weather updates I have been finding through your Active Rain blogs.  Between them and the forecasts we may have a chance of staying relatively dry or at least not come home looking like drowned rats.  I will let you know how it goes.

Enjoy your weekend whatever you are doing, rain or shine!  Have a wonderful Labor Day.

It is Seattle Courtney what else is new?  Thanks for the comment.

Rain in Florida never lol We have been missed here on the east coast so far but keeping our eyes on this tropical storm and keeping our fingers crossed. By the way we have relocated many folks from your area so now you know someone in Florida for referrals.

have a great weekend.

Paddy...that sounds fun but NOT in the rain!  I hope the weather holds out for you.  I have family in NY and hear it's in the 40's at night there now...YIKES!  I'm definitely a Florida girl now because that is cold for us down here.  I'll take the rain and chance of hurricane weather anytime over the pretty white snow.  GOOD LUCK with your plans!!

Thanks Susie  I hear you about the snow and cold.  I am not doing so great with that anymore either (actually I was never much for cold).  Have fun this weekend yourself.

Paddy - I was thinking pioneer woman until the last paragraph. Although, they were probably even more grateful for good weather. Hope your weather is terrific and you keep your muskets clean and your powder dry.

It is a nice escape from modern life Mike.  Out kids are (mostly) separated from tvs computers and phones for the weekend and they find ways to amuse themselves anyway.
